1. About this cookie policy

This cookie policy explains how MathMax ("we", "us"), operated by Que?! Communicatie, uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.getmathmax.com and in the MathMax application. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can manage them.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer, phone or tablet. Besides cookies, we use similar technologies such as local storage, in which information is saved by your browser on your device (for example to keep your game progress). In this policy, "cookies" also refers to these similar technologies.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to make MathMax work properly and securely, to remember your settings (such as language and theme) and your game progress on your device, to keep you signed in to a paid account, to process subscription payments, and to protect our sign-up and password forms against automated abuse.

3. Your consent

  • Strictly necessary cookies are required for MathMax to function and are placed without consent.
  • MathMax currently uses no analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies.
  • If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we will ask for your prior consent through a cookie banner before they are placed, in line with Spanish law (LSSI) and the GDPR, and you will be able to refuse or withdraw your consent as easily as you can give it.

4. Cookies we use

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third parties that provide services to us: our payment provider (Stripe), which processes subscription payments during checkout, and Google (reCAPTCHA), which protects our sign-up, password-reset and email-verification forms — and which is loaded only on those pages, never on the children's sign-in page. We do not control these third-party cookies. You can find more information in the privacy and cookie statements of the providers concerned.

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

6. Managing, blocking and deleting cookies

  • You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you when a cookie is placed.
  • Clearing cookies or local storage may affect how MathMax works — for example, you may be signed out or lose game progress saved on your device.

7. Your privacy rights

Where cookies process personal data, you have the right to access, rectify, restrict and erase that data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@getmathmax.com. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to confirm your identity. How we handle personal data is described in full in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to this cookie policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example when we change the website or the tools we use, or when the rules on cookies change. The latest version is always available on this page, so please review it regularly.

9. Contact
