Selling price
The monthly or annual price of each plan is shown on the pricing page (https://www.getmathmax.com/en/pricing) and at checkout. Prices may differ by country.
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 9 — Prices, Subscriptions and payment:
- Prices for Subscriptions are stated on the website and at checkout, in the currency indicated there. Where a price is shown as including tax (such as VAT/IVA), this is indicated; otherwise, applicable taxes are shown and added at checkout.
- For the Family Plan and the School Plan, the amount due is calculated automatically from the number of Seats — at the per-Seat price published on the website for the Family Plan, and under the published graduated volume pricing for the School Plan.
Charges other than the price
Taxes are handled as stated under the selling price. The cost of the internet connection needed to use the service is yours.
Payment method
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 9 — Prices, Subscriptions and payment:
- Payment is made through the payment method offered at checkout on the website; payments are processed by the Provider's payment provider (Stripe). If MathMax is obtained through an app store, that store's billing and refund terms may additionally apply.
Payment timing
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 9 — Prices, Subscriptions and payment:
- Subscriptions run for a monthly or an annual period, as selected by the User, are billed in advance, and renew automatically for successive periods of the same length until cancelled.
When the service starts
Access to the paid features starts immediately once payment is complete. The Free Trial starts when you start it.
Free Trial
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 9 — Prices, Subscriptions and payment:
- The Pro Plan and the Family Plan may be started with a free trial of 14 days (the Free Trial), without providing a payment method. During the Free Trial the User has the same access to the chosen plan as a paying subscriber, and nothing is charged. Each person may use the Free Trial only once: it is not available to an Account that has used one before, nor where a Free Trial has already been used with the same email address (disregarding capital letters, any “+” addition and, for Gmail addresses, dots). It is also not available to an Account that has previously held a Subscription or that holds a Seat, and it requires a verified email address that is not a disposable address. If no payment method has been added three days before the Free Trial ends, the Provider sends a reminder by email. If no payment method has been added by the end of the Free Trial, the Subscription is cancelled automatically, nothing is charged and access to the paid features under it ends. If a payment method is added during the Free Trial, the first payment for the chosen Subscription is charged when the Free Trial ends, after which the Subscription renews as described in this article. If a payment is due after a payment method has been added, the Provider sends an email three days before the Free Trial ends stating the date and the amount of that payment and how to cancel. The User may cancel at any time before the Free Trial ends; nothing is then charged and the Subscription ends when the Free Trial ends.
Cancellation and refunds
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 11 — Term and cancellation of a Subscription:
- The User may cancel the Subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current paid period. Cancellation is made at least as easily as taking out the Subscription.
- After cancellation, access to the paid features ends at the end of the current paid period. Amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded, unless the law provides otherwise.
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 12 — Availability, maintenance and changes: The Provider may discontinue MathMax or any part of it. Where a paid Subscription is affected, the Provider will refund any amount already paid for the period that can no longer be used.
Right of withdrawal
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 10 — Right of withdrawal (Consumers):
- A Consumer who takes out a Subscription in principle has a statutory cooling-off period of 14 calendar days during which they may withdraw from the Agreement without giving any reason.
- Because a Subscription provides immediate access to digital content and services, the Consumer expressly requests and consents to the Provider beginning performance immediately and acknowledges that, once access to the paid content has begun with that consent, the right of withdrawal is lost.
- To exercise the right of withdrawal where it still applies, the Consumer can contact hello@getmathmax.com, if desired using the statutory model withdrawal form.
From the General Terms and Conditions — Article 7 — Schools and institutional customers: An Institution does not act as a Consumer. Provisions of these terms that by their nature apply only to Consumers — including the statutory right of withdrawal and the consumer venue provision — do not apply to Institutions.
System requirements
A device connected to the internet and a web browser are required.
