How it works
Signed numbers
Pick a fighter, choose Signed numbers, and trust your numbers. The faster and cleaner you solve, the harder you hit — from gentle early grades all the way to Olympic-level challenges.
Negative numbers have a sign in front (the little −). When you multiply or divide them, the numbers behave normally — the only new trick is figuring out whether the answer is positive or negative.
The rule is short: SAME signs give a positive, DIFFERENT signs give a negative. So (−3) × (−4) = +12 (both negative → positive), but (−3) × 4 = −12 (one of each → negative). Work out 3 × 4 = 12 as usual, then decide the sign.
It works the same for dividing. Find the number, then set the sign. Use the − key if the answer is negative.
